No one has the perfect body, just ask the beautiful models we see in magazines and they’ll find something to criticize about themselves! So stop waiting for perfection and embrace your shape today. You are already perfect! You can enhance your image and update your look in simple, inexpensive ways. Here are a few tips from Outside In Organizer and Makeovers that you can choose from right now: #1: Donate the clothes that no longer make you look your best. These are items that are too big, too tight, the wrong color, etc. #2: If you are partial to neutrals, expand your definition of “neutral” to include gray, navy, brown…have fun mixing them. FYI-wearing black doesn’t hide a thing! #3: Use a “POP” of color or a metallic to spruce up an outfit. Try this with an accessory or pair of shoes. #4: Emphasize the features that you like best. That might include a bold lipstick for the shape of your lips. Use details like seaming or embellishments to draw the eye towards those features. #5: Wear clothing that fits. Baggy clothes only make you look baggy, really! Have fun with these tips. You’ll look better on the outside and it will make you feel better inside.
How many messages are in your inbox right now? Are most of them opened but you don’t know what to do with them? Outside In Organizer and Makeovers shares these tips about how to manage your email and in essence…improve your time management. First, treat your inbox like any potential source of clutter. The process of organizing it is the same: PURGE, SORT, ORGANIZE. Second, delete any junk mail and unsubscribe from unnecessary sites. Tip three, create files to store messages that are for future use or reference. Purge these at least once a month. Tip four, designate action items that are already overdue. Tip five would be to mark those items that require your action or response within the next week. The next tip is the most important one…schedule 1 time in the morning and 1 time later in the day to read, organize, and respond to your email. Commit to this rather than checking your email throughout the day, you will increase your productivity.
POST YOUR TIME MANAGEMENT QUESTION ON MY BLOG! Lately I’ve been working with busy professionals in San Diego and NY to help them use their time more efficiently. Why? Because they want to be able to exercise, meditate, journal, spend time with their loved ones and can’t seem to do that without feeling guilty about their long TO DO lists. These are loving, high-achieving, competent people seeking balance. They recognize that like everyone else they have 24 hours in a day (and need to spend some of that time getting sleep). As a Professional Organizer and former educator I love coaching clients on how to optimize their time, streamline their lists, and manage their mental and physical energy so that they are productive. Starting today make your first time management commitment: I have 1 “to do” list. Tips: 1. Your “to do” list is not a shopping list. 2. Your “to do” list is what you (and only you) need and want to do. 3. Your “to do” list does not include items you’ve delegated.
