No one has the perfect body, just ask the beautiful models we see in magazines and they’ll find something to criticize about themselves! So stop waiting for perfection and embrace your shape today. You are already perfect! You can enhance your image and update your look in simple, inexpensive ways. Here are a few tips from Outside In Organizer and Makeovers that you can choose from right now: #1: Donate the clothes that no longer make you look your best. These are items that are too big, too tight, the wrong color, etc. #2: If you are partial to neutrals, expand your definition of “neutral” to include gray, navy, brown…have fun mixing them. FYI-wearing black doesn’t hide a thing! #3: Use a “POP” of color or a metallic to spruce up an outfit. Try this with an accessory or pair of shoes. #4: Emphasize the features that you like best. That might include a bold lipstick for the shape of your lips. Use details like seaming or embellishments to draw the eye towards those features. #5: Wear clothing that fits. Baggy clothes only make you look baggy, really! Have fun with these tips. You’ll look better on the outside and it will make you feel better inside.
Travel should be easy and fun. If it is business-related, then easy and productive! I hate doing laundry when I travel almost as much as I hate packing too much. One of the ways to deal with this challenge is to invest in a collection of quick drying undergarments. They can be hand washed and dry in no time, no matter where you travel. Here are links to items for men and women:
Outside In Organizer and Makeovers helps you organize for any occasion and travel is no exception! If you travel often then you know it can be a hassle to pack a lot. Consider organizing your travel wardrobe using these tips: 1. Wrinkle factor: pack only clothes that don’t wrinkle and don’t require ironing. You’ll be able to wear items more than once. 2. Pick a palette: pick a color theme and then pack only items that go with or complement that theme. Bring neutrals that go with everything. 3. Pack for comfort: rather than bring those fabulous shoes that you can only wear for 1 evening event, consider something that is comfortable and can be work day or night with a variety of outfits. You won’t regret it, and you’ll have more fun.
Here are 3 easy ways to create your travel wardrobe: First: Mixing and matching pieces is an easy way to create more outfits from less items. You can dress up jeans and walking shorts for evening by changing shoes, accessories, and tops. Second: Layering pieces makes packing easier. You can wear a tank top under a sheer blouse and bring along a khaki jacket for cooler days. Third: Simple changes in the ways that you wear a piece create variety. For instance, you can wear a shirt tucked in or left out and belted. You can wear a light weight jacket with sleeves rolled up, partially buttoned, and just a cami underneath, then wear it un buttoned with sleeves cuffed and a tee shirt underneath. The best results are born out of your creativity, have fun with it!

One of the best ways to update your wardrobe is to add a pop of color. Listen up men…spring is the perfect time to get bold and add color to business attire. Tips for color: 1. Use bold color sparingly if you’ve never experimented with it before. 2. MEN: Keep the shirt and suit neutral or dark and wear a bold color tie. Try a color shirt with a neutral or dark tie. Getting brave? Introduce a bold color pair of socks. 3. WOMEN: Step into bold colors by wearing 1 item of clothing, or 1 accessory in that color. Try a dark pair of jeans, white tee shirt, and orange purse, for instance. Then try 1 of those gorgeous colored jeans or capris in something like a bright green, with a white shirt and yellow earrings. A pop of color near the face and on the lower body is a great way to get comfortable with color.
This is such a great use of the same color in a solid, striped, and floral ensemble. I love when my clients shop in their closet (she owned every piece) and get creative by mixing patterns. This beautiful use of coral uplifts the visual image, brightens skin tone, and looks great with a neutral pant or skirt. Love it!
Color, color, color! It doesn’t matter what size, weight, height or age you are there is nothing that perks up an image like the right color. That goes for men, too! What’s your best color?
Having your basic pieces in neutrals such as white, black, grey, beige, etc. are the perfect way to start to expand your wardrobe. Not only can you add colors, but you can add prints, mix fabric textures, and don’t forget to mix the neutrals, too! This one is a great khaki jacket, print top, and white crop pants. The blue in the print top picks up the eye color but wait…I’d add a bright orange purse, black sandals, and wood jewelry pieces! How to mix it up: 1. Wear the same tops with bright blue jeans and heels. 2. Wear the print top and white crop pants with a black sweater. 3. Look for pieces you already have: a skirt, a jean jacket, etc. You get the idea, have fun with it.
