Organize your wardrobe
Organize your wardrobe to realize benefits in so many ways. I am asked, “You’re a Professional Organizer, what does organizing your wardrobe have to do with that?” My response is directly related to my experience with clients who have a closet full of clothes, some with price tags on them, and say:
- I have nothing to wear.
- I don’t know what to keep.
- I don’t know what looks good on me. Or Nothing looks good on me.
- I liked it in the store, but I don’t know how to wear it.
- I hate shopping.
- I don’t know how to put an outfit together.
- I don’t know how to accessorize.
As a Personal Professional Organizer in San Diego with expertise in time management, productivity coaching, and image and wardrobe consulting I successfully help clients gain the benefits of organizing their time and space as well and their image for personal and professional gain.

Organize your wardrobe | Dress well
Organize your wardrobe in order to dress well. Here are some reasons why it could be worth dressing well. First, you want to be able to make a good first impression in a variety of situations. Socially and professionally we are networking all of the time. We make new contacts and ask for a variety of referrals for services and products. This can happen in the grocery store, airport, or at a party. Whether or not we like it, making a good first impression is highly influenced by appearances and can support or detract from one’s credibility.
Organize your wardrobe and dress well because it is personally satisfying. Looking good can boost or instill confidence as you navigate throughout your day. Organize your wardrobe so that when you are in a rush to get out somewhere you always have the “right” outfit. Dressing well can bring a smile to yourself when you see your reflection in the mirror. It is also a means of self expression, individuality and can inspire creativity. Organizing your wardrobe and creating outfits is fun for most of us.
Organize your wardrobe and be able to dress well is to enhance self image. It is not an antidote for the internal work that we all need to do from time to time but looking put together can temporarily help to counter negative feeling. Have you heard the phrase, fake it ’til you make it? A well fitting outfit won’t resolve depression or anxiety, but it’s helpful to get up and get dressed, put on something with color, and wear something that is comfortable and well fitting.
Remember, you deserve all of the above and more! Got questions?
